In 1981 Garry & Darlene Gilroy purchased an existing barn equipment business from Alex Peters and renamed it Melbourne Farm Automation Ltd. Product expansion in 1983 saw the addition of a grain bin line. The need for on-farm drying storage was becoming more prevalent every year. In 1984 Melbourne Farm Automation relocated to a bigger property on the edge of town. This continued growth begged for more trucks, tools and staff. In 1995 we hired an electrician, which started the ball rolling for the complete system 'Wired'. Now the builder builds the barn and we finish it 'totally'. Finally, in the fall of 1997, a new shop was built making room for the now 20 employees and 7 trucks!
